Main Street Half Marathon in Support of Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center
Marathon Update: September 25, 2023
Hunterdon Health Foundation and Main Street Half Marathon of Hunterdon are partnering to raise funds for and awareness of, Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. Anyone, regardless of their interest in running can participate and provide incredible support to the Cancer Center's patients during this weekend-long event.
Opportunities include:

Running/walking the half marathon or 4-mile courses as an individual or on a team.

Participants can ask friends and family to support them by fundraising through their own campaign as runners, walkers, cheering stations, or individuals.

Cheering on the runners/walkers either from home or on the course. Prizes will be available for the best cheerleaders!

Volunteering on the day of the events.

Joining us with your friends and family for the great events surrounding the Half Marathon.
All events are to be held at the Red Mill Museum Village, 56 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809.

Main Street Expo and Packet Pick Up

Grab your packet and shirt and join us at the Red Mill Museum Village as we kick off race weekend. Enjoy craft brews from the expo presenting sponsor Sunken Silo Brew Works, live music and entertainment...stroll Main Street shops and area vendors!

Super Hero Sprint at the Red Mill

2:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Faster than a speeding bullet....bring your superhero (ages “old enough to tot” to “not too cool to trot”), in their favorite costume, out for a fun sprint down through the Red Mill Museum Village, and enjoy an afternoon in one of the country's prettiest small towns! Race day registration is not guaranteed so it is recommended to register early.

After registering for the race, please register for a free fundraising page. Find the instructions below:
Step 1: Create your Account
- You can create your account by accessing our fundraising platform: JustGiving
- Click the blue “Fundraise for Us” button in the top right-hand corner.
- Follow the prompts on the “Sign Up” page to create your own account.
Step 2: Choosing your Fundraiser
JustGiving provides numerous event types that allow you to customize your fundraiser to your specific purpose. You will be brought to a page that looks like the following:
This page will allow you to select which event type matches the fundraiser you wish to host. For the race, you will choose “Taking Part in an Event.”
Step 3: Creating Your Fundraiser
After selecting "Taking Part in an Event", you will be prompted to a page that has a list of our current events. You will now be able to select "Main Street Half Marathon of Hunterdon". Next, you will be able to personalize your page, customize your URL, and explain why you are raising money for the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. This is your chance to tell a great story about your fundraiser to help engage potential supporters!
When you are finished with the above steps, simply click “Create Your Page”. Your event is now live and ready to start your fundraiser! You will be given the option to add more details to your fundraiser including pictures, stories, and other relevant information that will help promote your cause.
Step 4: Get The Word Out:
The best way to gain supporters for your fundraiser is to share the link with friends, family, and the community via email, text and social media.
Do you want to be involved in the festivities, but AREN'T ABLE to run?
Consider participating in a cheering station with friends and family! At a cheering station, each person participating would celebrate a cancer survivor, cheer on an individual runner or team, or honor a loved one who has been diagnosed with or passed away from cancer. There will be multiple cheering stations placed along the path of the run. This is a fun and free way to immerse yourself in the community, encourage those running, and support Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center.
How to start a Cheering Station:
Cheering Stations can be done individually or as a group. Recruit your family members, co-workers, neighbors, workout buddies, school teams and Scout troops!
If you are interested in creating a cheering station, please fill out this form. We encourage each group to choose a team name and submit photos of their cheering station to be entered to win a $100 Visa Gift Card. Pictures can be sent to Mary-Beth Smith, Special Events Manager at events@hhsnj.org by Monday, October 23, 2023. Submissions will be featured on our social media pages, along with a special shout-out to the winner. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
T-shirts and lawn signs are completely customizable to help promote your reason for participating in the Main Street Half Marathon of Hunterdon. Use the open space provided on the back to customize with the name of your loved one(s) who have been touched by cancer, your runner or team information, or who you are cheering for during the race. Our specially designed t-shirts and lawn signs are available for $25.00 each. All proceeds benefit Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center.
T-Shirts are available in sizes Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, 2XLarge and 3XLarge. The back of the t-shirt is designed to leave room for your customization. For best results, please use a permanent marker.
The bottom of the lawn sign is left blank to give you the opportunity to customize your sign to be entirely your own! Please include who you are running for, the individual runner or team you are supporting, or information about your fundraising page. For best results, please use a permanent marker.
