The length of your hospital stay will be determined by the type of birth you had, along with other factors. Generally, women who deliver vaginally have a two-night stay, women who have cesarean births generally stay for three nights. During your stay, our nursing staff will be available to you around the clock to answer your questions and monitor the well-being of you and your baby.
In addition, our maternity nursing staff will provide all of your discharge information. You will schedule a follow-up appointment with your healthcare provider for approximately 2 weeks after birth (or sooner if you had a cesarean birth). However, don’t hesitate to call your physician or midwife if you have concerns or questions about your recovery. Please plan on being discharged by 11 a.m. once you have received your doctor’s approval.
