A donor-advised fund is a private fund administered by a third party and created for the purpose of managing charitable donations on behalf of an organization, family, or individual. It allows you to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to charities from the fund over time.
You can make a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity which can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions for the year. In addition to the benefits of giving to charity, the amount donated is excluded from taxable income, which is unlike regular withdrawals from an IRA.
You can designate us as a beneficiary of a retirement, investment or bank account or your life insurance policy.
You transfer your cash or appreciated property to our organization in exchange for our promise to pay you fixed payments (with rates based on your age) for the rest of your life.
You transfer your cash or appreciated property to fund a charitable remainder unitrust or annuity. The trust sells your property tax free and provides you with income for life or a term of years.
