Program Coordinator, NJCEED Program

Maria joined Hunterdon Health in 2021. She worked at the Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management as Program Coordinator for its Produce Prescription Program for a year. It was in this position where she gained invaluable experience in community outreach and health promotion among the program participants. Maria started working in her position with NJCEED in early 2022. She is excited to continue the many outreach efforts available through NJCEED including the promotion of cancer screening services and education to eligible residents that enroll in the NJCEED program. Maria’s commitment to public health is demonstrated through the publication of her research on Alzheimer’s disease by the Journal of Geriatric Medicine and her research presentations at the American Public Health Association and the Gerontological Society of America in 2021. Maria is proficient in conversational Spanish.
