What is it? Babysitters are trusted with the safety and welfare of a child in the absence of a parent or guardian. This course covers the skills necessary to help prepare for that responsibility as a babysitter.
Primary Audience: Youths 11 thru 15 are at a key stage in life where this responsibility signals a move toward managing mature and challenging tasks for both themselves and others.
This popular program helps young adults learn childcare basics, safety and dealing with emergencies, managing babysitting as a business, first aid, and AHA Friends and Family CPR. The day is filled with fun exercises, demonstrations, and manikin practice. Students will receive a program guide and an emergency information flashcards. Upon completion, students will also receive a course completions certificate.
