Prior to medical school, Lauren worked as a social worker for senior citizens and adults with disabilities in Philadelphia. She primarily made home visits, allowing her to meet Philadelphia, one family, at a time, within their homes, and surrounded by their loved ones. Upon acceptance to medical school, Lauren pursued Family Medicine from the start: the full spectrum care of all ages and entire families allows for advocacy and preventive measures similar to her past life in social work. Lauren’s interests in medicine include public health, preventive medicine, street medicine, refugee health, and women’s health. In her free time, Lauren enjoys silent films, medical history, and museums.
