Community Healthcare Worker
Gino Veliz is a member of the Hunterdon Health, Community Outreach Team under Business Development as a Community Health Worker. Gino is fluent in Spanish and will be assisting bilingual individuals navigate their outpatient healthcare needs and referrals to community resources.
Originally from Peru, Gino has a passion for helping others who need a hand or a heart to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. He has a vast array of professional experience as an instructional assistant, job coach and support specialist in the fields of behavioral health and special-needs education. Gino also has hands-on experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer's, helping them to reduce frustration and improve their quality of life.
In his free time, Gino likes to volunteer, exercise and appreciates new experiences and cultures through travel. He is also a staunch supporter of LGBTQ+ and all equality initiatives that lead to broader understanding and acceptance of each other.
