Independence Manor at Hunterdon in collaboration with Hunterdon Hospice will host a special event about Advance Care Planning on Thursday, April 13th from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
The community is invited to join a panel-led discussion with medical, social work, spiritual and legal professionals:
Inspired by National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD), which exists to educate and empower individuals about the importance of advance care planning, the evening will be hosted at Independence Manor: 188 Route 31, Flemington, and will include candid conversation, resources and refreshments.
According to a national survey conducted by the Conversation Project, 92% of Americans say it’s important to talk to their loved ones about end-of-life wishes, but only 32% have done so. Understanding and advocating for your personal wishes before a serious illness or an emergent situation arises is incredibly important. Additionally, it is an invaluable gift to give yourself and your loved ones.
